Patchwork Brooks bucket hat

Work Description

I wanted a sustainable hat and used all kinds of small pieces of discarded jeans to create patchwork. I had to cut off the seam allowance of the outer circle of the brim to finish it with bias band made of a discarded raincoat. It add some contrast. The lining and inner brim is made of a discarded bermuda. It really is a family piece: all used materials were worn by my husband, our daughters, son in law and myself
