Work Description
I used a 4-way stretch Punta di Roma fabric. The stripes run horizontal but after some stretch tests it was better to cut the fabric against the grain. A luck for me because I prefer stripes running vertical. Sewing the pants together was a bit of a nightmare. This Punta di Roma was probably a bit too thick for this design. It al started with sewing the zipper pockets in the front. My sewing machine skipped stitches due to many layers of fabric ending in making them without zippers. So I've two welt pockets. I did’t want to test my luck again with the back pockets The design of these pockets are made from another pattern. Belt loop are skipped too for the same reason. I added elastic to the waist band. This gave a better fit. Pretty happy with result. This Gianna hose is the start of my Autumn wardrobe.
