Breton style Osiris
Work Description
I used plain dark blue jersey for my version and made a long sleeve version. Because I couldn’t find jersey bias band my neckline is finished with bias tape made out of the jersey fabric. The construction of sewing the front bodice together with the ‘shoulder yoke’ is altered. I added 2 centimeters to the ‘shoulder yoke’ and 3 centimeters to the front bodice. Now the ‘shoulder yoke’ lays 3 centimeters under the front bodice. When I did a fitting test I found the T-shirt a bit loose around the great and waist. I decided to reduce the side seams with 1 centimeter. This gave a better fit. I also ended up with reducing the sleeves a bit due to the alterations on the side seams. You can easily use this pattern several times. My next version will be in a heavier quality jersey so I would end up heaving a sweater. And of course a short sleeve version in red-white striped jersey with blue jersey bias tape.
