Nika Studio Shirt Amsterdam
Work Description
I made the long sleeve version with round neckline. I wanted to make this one because I own a lot of T-shirt with a round neckline but not one that sits high on the neck. I used some jersey with a kind of retro looking apple print from my stash. It measured 1.58 metre width by 0.80 metre long but was it enough for a long sleeved version. The best way is too lay the fabric flat and lay each fabric piece individual on the fabric. One hour later all four pattern pieces were cut. After taking time to let the pattern run through it was now time to do the same while stitching too. Almost three hours later the shirt was almost ready. Nika Studio has on her website a tutorial to add some details to a homemade T-shirt. One of them is to add a neck binding on the inside of the T-shirt. This fabric has a text on the selvedge. Perfect for the neck binding. It seemed to be easy but it took me 90 minutes to let it look perfect but it was worth spending all that time. So happy with this shirt Amsterdam and looking forward to make a second short sleeved version too. You’re looking for a basic T-shirt with some options? This Shirt Amsterdam is something to consider.
