Materials you need at home:
- The pants are designed for elastic fabrics. The spandex content should be at least 4%. Romanite/ Punta di Roma, Bengaline, elastic poplin, denim stretch and other elastic blended trouser fabrics with some stand are well suited (jersey is too thin and soft). Bi-elastic fabrics are better than those that are only stretch crosswise, like some denim stretch!
- 1.35-2.1 m of fabric (140 cm wide) is needed depending on the sewn size.
- lining fabric for the pocket pouches: approx. 20 cm for all sizes
- Zippers (optional): 2x 12 cm, 1x 8 cm or better endless zipper ca. 38 cm (with reserve)

Gianna is a sewing pattern for comfortable stretch pants with elastic waistband and closes without zipper. The pants have a slim but not tight cut and can be sewn with zipper pockets in front and western pockets in back. As a variant, the pants scan be processed without pockets but with seams in the front, back or both. Gianna is of ankle length and suitable for a body size of 163-174 cm. The Petite model is perfect if your height is equal to or less than 163 cm and also available at Makerist. Every body is different and you might want to adjust the pattern according to yours. You will find a detailed tutorial on pattern adjustments further down in the sewing instructions.
