MontBlueStudio Becca Pouch Coin Purse
Work Description
I wanted to make the bag suitable for my sock knitting activity so the pattern of the MontBlueStudio Becca Pouch Coin Purse has been modified by adding 6 centimeters to the width. The width of the Sashiko embroidery is also altered. I started a piece of jeans fabric that was big enough to cut the pattern form after the Sashiko embroidering. After the embroidering the shape of bag was cut out of the jeans fabric. The first step was sewing jeans bias tape to the bag. The bias tape is secured on the inside by hand. Then the bottom is stitched with the sewing machine. After this step you can set your sewing machine aside. The rest is all done by hand with the needle and thread. Zipper first followed by the lining. As icing on the cake, I added a thread a cord with a bead through the zipper pull, just like the pattern suggested.
