Work Description
I made this zero waste 2 piece. Who doesn’t love a project that is super easy tans involves quick construction. I made this out of a linen rayon blend that looks like it belongs on the beach. I am very pleased with how it turned out. The only thing I was a bit unsure of was the attaching of the bodice to the ruffle. I could watch along with the YouTube video and figure it out. I will definitely be making the skirt again but I don’t know that the top is 100% for me. I also altered the skirt a bit. Instead of shirring thread I created a waist band out of a piece of fabric I had ripped off to get a straight edge . I inserted my elastic and to prevent it from floating around I created a second channel above the elastic to create an extra ruffle type detail. All in all a fun sew for the summer
