Work Description
This is a really nice pattern and it is actually very easy. The instructions are clear, the illustrations are easy to follow and there are only a few pattern pieces. There are one or 2 pattern pieces that are mislabeled I think I can't remember which one but it's very easy to figureout. I used this lovely burgundy baby cord which I thought would make it look a little like sleepwear but it's actually a really nice comfy feel! It works really well for the time between winter and spring I made a size E with no modifications. Well, I say no modifications I chose not to add the pocket placket on the bodice because it just seems ridiculous to me to have false pockets on things and I was too unmotivated to figure out how to turn them into real pockets. I think a fun alteration to make for the next one would be to taper the pant legs a bit for a more tailored look. I don't know if it is my sewing that is wrong or the pattern but I find it is a bit difficult to take off. I don't know if anyone else has that problem or I made a mistake somewhere. I just have to make it again to see if it was something I did in the construction. Both my sleeve pieces were too big somehow and required a bit of gathering/easing to fit but it worked out.
