Work Description

This month, I want to continue working on traditional blackwork. Last month, I worked from a portrait of Mary Tudor, basing my design around the collar. This month, I wanted to design my own pattern, with Tudor flowers in mind. I used 14 count Cream Aida & DMC Black Embroidery Thread. I was inspired by the blackwork of the collar from the portrait of Mary Tudor (1516 - 58), which is at The National Portrait Gallery, London, UK.
