Lulu Gathered Neck Mini Dress
Work Description
The Lulu Dress was a quick and fun make! It’s a nice loose shape with plenty of ease, making it an easy fit. I used a printed 100% viscose with a nice drape. I like how the gathered details are on the skirt side panels rather than all the way around, and how it slips easily over the head (no buttons or zippers!) The only construction part I found a little more challenging was getting the neck gathers right, on the first go I got them too tight which changed the fit of the bodice. Once I unpicked and loosened the gathering it turned out much better. The only mod I made was to leave the toe detail off the sleeves and shorten the skirt length by a few cm (I’m 165cm tall).
