A friendly raggedy mouse
Work Description
Instead of using discarded jeans I used some leftover light grey jeans fabric and some pink flannel. After stitching the tail on the back body I decided I wanted to change that. Most mice have an almost hairless tail so the tail looks different than the body. Using the wrong side of the jeans fabric created this effect. The head of the original mouse has a safety joint. Sadly it wasn’t possible to purchase one on a short notice so mu head is stitched on the body. One of the best parts in the instructions is the detailing of the head. Angela advice for the ears is to pin them in place and take a look the next morning. If you’re happy stitch them on the head or try another position. I changed a few times the position of the ears until I was happy with the total look. You can make a shirt for the boy mouse and a dress for the girl mouse using the same pattern. I made the dress and finishedthe sleeves hems have elastic so it looks like they have a ruffle. Neck and skirt hem are finished with small blue lace band. The dress closes with two small metal button snaps. I like to add a heart and a navel to soft toys to all my self-made soft toys with. So naturally this raggedy mouse have both too.
