😍The search for the perfect basic tank pattern is finally over! 🎉 I’ve been looking for a classic tank pattern for a while, with a few elements on my wishlist: 1. Bust darts in the right location 2. Can be made from less than 1m of fabric 3. No stuffing around with interfacing required 4. Looks as good on the inside as it does on the outside 5. No visible bra straps! Happy to report that the #mwmtaratank by @makewithmandi ticks all the boxes! I can't recommend this pattern enough for a beginner sewist working to improve their skills with finishing details. Spoiler alert: there is a lot of bias tape involved to get the perfect finish around the armholes, neckline and curved hems.. but the instructions are very detailed with photos and clear explanations to help you get there. I made the high/boat necked version of the pattern, and can definitely imagine a few more to come to make the most of my precious fabric scraps when I have leftovers from sewing my dresses.
