Betsy Ballerina Doll - DK Wool

Work Description

I have used pink Sirdar Snuggly Pearls DK to give a sparkle effect. 3mm pink pearl beads were knitted into the work. However, these do not have to be used. Betsy comes complete with a beaded tutu skirt, beaded bodice, beaded arm cuffs & a beaded tiara. Her hair is in a classical bun. Her tutu is of double thickness with a picot edging which enables the tutu skirt not to flop! I have always said I would never knit anything to do with work, but after my ballet school's recent show I was inspired! So during my holiday in the Isle of Wight, with my family, Betsy was created. Betsy is dancing the role of 'The Candyfloss Fairy' from the ballet - 'Candyland' - as invented by my children!
