Stitch Monster

I am an artist and professional illustrator living in Austin, TX with my husband and three kids. I love to sew and have focused much of my spare time making my own little creations for fun.

It all started with a trampoline and an unscheduled trip to the hospital with my six-year-old son. As we sat in the hospital with his nearly broken head, a nurse popped in out of nowhere and offered him a simple toy. That was the only time I saw him smile that night.

It got me to thinking about how dolls and stuffed toys play such an integral part of our childhoods. A simple cuddle with a favorite doll or animal can make the world seem instantly better. I miss that. So I decided to start sewing. And that is how Stitch Monster was born.
