Couple Louis and Mireille own a sewing shop, called Creative Notions, located in a small coastal town called Hermanus in the sunny country, South Africa.

Holding workshops and courses are synonym to a sewing shop and that's where it all began!

Sewing has been part of Louis' life for over 35 years. Hybre soon joined the team as sewing workshop instructor and whilst Louis and Hybre designed patterns to construct in workshops, Mireille, being a graphic and web designer by trade, would do the layout and marketing.

Soon the word spread and the demand grew for Patternpal sewing patterns. And that's when we decided to open an Etsy shop. We'd love to share to the world the patterns that locals have come to love!
