Julie Richards
Julie Richards first trained as a classical musician before entering the world of design. Becoming chronically ill with Endometriosis, Julie was forced to rethink her career path. Taught to knit at the age of six, Julie decided to return to her first creative passion, knitting.
Launching her very successful online business ‘The Little Knit Kit Company’ in 2010, Julie realised the business potential she had rediscovered and sold her designs in the form of kits. Back in 2012, Julie was short listed for Swanseabay Business Women of the Year award where she came ‘highly commended’ for her efforts in the business world.
Taking things a little slower now, Julie lives near the beautiful Gower Penninsular where she draws much of her inspiration from nature and nostalgia for her designs.
Julie is now a successful independent knit designer and she continues to sell her beautiful patterns designs from her little creative business ‘yarn needles and thread’.
