What’s this: This is the Plumage shawl.

Why should I make this: Large shawls like Plumage are perfect to wrap around your shoulders to keep warm, or to wear as an oversized scarf in the cold winter months. When will this get the most use: This shawl will be useful year round.

Who is it for: Anyone who likes to wrap themselves in beauty.

Where do I start: This pattern is rated Easy - you’ll need to know or be eager to learn the basic crochet stitches and colour changing. You will need 450 g of fingering weight yarn (150g of each of 3 colours; I used Belle by Artfil Yarn) and a 4 mm hook. Other notions: a yarn needle and some stitch markers.
