Materials you need at home:
- 100 g fingering weight yarn
- 3.5 mm Tunisian crochet hook
- Yarn needle, stitch markers
What’s this: This is the Ocean Geometry scarf. It was designed in collaboration The Lemonade Shop & is a Tunisian crochet pattern.
Why should I make this: This is the perfect scarf to try Tunisian crochet without having to commit to new tools. Using a standard hook, you can pratice your skills through 3 stitch patterns resulting in one lovely lacy scarf.
When will this get the most use: Want to try Tunisian? This pattern is here for you! You won’t even need a special hook! And a light scarf like this will get a LOT of wear =)
Who is it for: All of the scarf-as-accessory people out there (myself included).
Where do I start: This pattern is rated Advanced - You’ll need to know (or be eager to learn) Tunisian crochet stitches and principles (the pattern explains these in simple terms). You will need 100g of Fingering weight yarn (used here: The Lemonade Shop Speckled Fingering) & a regular 3.5 mm hook with a straight handle (no clay or ergonomic mods). Other notions: a yarn needle, and some stitch markers.
