The MakeristAR app is currently only available for iPhones. You can download the app for free from your app store.
To test MakeristAR, we have saved a few free patterns in the app for you. You can find all other MakeristAR-compatible patterns here (LINK). After purchasing a MakeristAR-compatible pattern, it is automatically stored in the app. "

I have an iPad but no iPhone. Can I still use the app?
You can use the app via an iPad as the transfer of the AR cutting patterns works like an iPhone. At the moment the app is only optimized for the iPhone screen so there may be some issues using the app with an iPad. We are working to adapt the app for iPad screens as well as android devices, and ask for your patience.
I have an old iPhone. Which software version (iOS) is the app available in?
The app can be downloaded from all iPhones with a software version from iOS 12.0 or higher. You can check which iOS version you are using in your settings under General -> Info. You should have at least an iPhone 5s (with the exception of an iPhone 5c) or a newer iPhone.
I can't see the MakeristAR app in the app store, where can I find it?
If you cannot see the app in the App Store, it is unfortunately not available for your software or iOS version. Please check if there is an open update available for your iPhone. You can find this in your settings.

How can I transfer a pattern to my fabric?
- Once the app is open, click on the pattern you want to transfer.
- Select your size in the size overview.
- Click 'download all' to download all pattern pieces in your desired size
- Place the reference anchor on the fabric.
- Click on the pattern piece that you want to transfer.
- The pattern piece is now displayed on your smartphone screen. Align your smartphone over the fabric so that the reference anchor always remains visible on the screen.
- Use a marking aid (e.g. tailors chalk or a fabric marker) to transfer the pattern onto the fabric.
- Transfer piece by piece until the entire pattern is traced onto your fabric.
- The app shows you the cutting contours on the screen and anchors the pattern. If you pan left and right, the cutting outline will stay anchored. Please always make sure that the anchor is always clearly visible on the screen.
- The seam allowance included and how the pattern piece has to be cut (in the fabric break or similar) can be found in the information.
- It is advisable to initially only transfer the cutting contour with the app in dotted lines and then to connect everything together. "
It's difficult to only have one hand free when tracing off the patterns - what can I do?
If you want to have both hands free to transfer the pattern, a small tripod may help you. You can attach the tripod to the table edge, for example, and then clamp your mobile phone in the holder.
