- Measurements are both in cm and inches.
Materials you need at home:
- Yarn: 200g Aran weight yarn. Hand dyed 200g (7 oz) aran weight yarn from GamerCrafting (etsy shop) in the colourway “Legend of Zelda”
- Needles: 4.5 mm (US 7) or size to achieve gauge. You will need circular needles 40 cm (16 inches approximately) or long DPNs for brioche stitch.
- Tapestry needle, removable stitch marker or cable needle.
This one-color brioche stitch scarf is knitted in aran weight yarn featuring a large bold leaf design. I have chosen a custom dyed yarn hand-dyed in the “Legend of Zelda” colourway by “GamerCrafting” on etsy however you could successfully use Malabrigo Rios or Noro Kureyon (aran) instead.
The leaves are separated by brioche knit columns, all of which come into their own when blocked. One color brioche knitting is completely reversible and the scarf has a selvedge edge giving it an attractively finished edge.
Gauge: 18 sts and 24 rows to 10 cm (4 inches), measured in stocking stitch on 5 mm (US 8) needles before blocking
Finished size: 1.65 m/65 inches total length, with ten repeats of pattern, width: 22 cm
