Made of light woven fabrics such as poplin, muslin or linen the pants will be the right companion for spring and summer, and made of thicker fabrics such as jeans or corduroy they are also suitable for autumn and winter.

Fabric recommendations:

For the pants CELI soft draping woven fabrics are excellent. For shorts or light summer pants, linen, muslin and other light trouser fabrics are recommended. But CELI can also be a little warmer for autumn and winter. For this purpose you can use, for example, suit fabrics made of wool or soft corduroy. But you can also get a nice pair of pants from less stretchy French Terry. Of course, CELI will be truly business-ready if you use suit and costume fabrics. For the paperbag waistband you should not use too firm/thick fabrics.

Fabric consumption:

For the pants you need (based on 140 cm fabric width plus seam allowances and buffers):

Long pants: 250 cm Shorts: 140 cm

Only sizes 34 - 38 if the fabric is 160 cm wide: Long pants: 150 cm Shorts: 85 cm

You will also need some fabric for the inseam pockets and the inside of the butt pockets (not too thick).

Additional material

The waistband of CELI is sewn from the pants' fabric, with the elastic pulled in, about 3-4 cm wide.

If you want to use cuffed/waistband fabric, you need to measure the length of the cuffed part and multiply by 0.8 since a waistband made of cuffed fabric must be shorter and sewn while stretched.
