Wicked Tulips is an asymmetric triangular shawl consisting of garter and slipped stitches (i.e. mosaic pattern) finished with a simple lace pattern that is only worked on the right side rows. Only one color is worked per row for the mosaic pattern.
Instructions for the mosaic and lace patterns are both written and charted. The written pattern version is included in the zip file.
The shawl is shown in two skeins of Marianated Yarns Scrumptious HT (80% superwash merino/10% cashmere/10% nylon, 400 yds/100 g) in The Green of her Dreams and one Six Pack Perfection Gradient Set (six skeins, approximately 133 yds/33 g per skein) in the Wicked Tulips gradient. The individual colors for the gradient are designated as: CC1 – Friendship 7; CC2 – Ride Sally Ride; CC3 – Silent Spring; CC4 – Angel of Mercy; CC5 – Little Curies; and, CC6 – Emergence. The names of the gradient skeins are a tribute to women of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
