Crochet pattern / tutorial for a bath and shower wash mitt.
We all love the practicality of a wash mitt in the bath or shower, and this design brings a little spa luxury with it. Make it in colours to coordinate with your decor or toiletries, make them in different colours for family members - they are also quick to make for gifts that anyone would appreciate.
The wash mitt has a nubbly texture, which is easy to work, producing a cloth which is gently exfoliating. The mitt has a neat edging for a 'finished' look and an optional hanging loop - important details often missing from other patterns. Make it from machine washable cotton yarn for a functional and beautiful finished washcloth and that 'I made that!' thrill!
The finished mitt is 15cm (6") wide and 20cm (8") long.
This pattern is one of a matching set of bathroom items which you can find here: Little Conkers crochet patterns.
The wash mitt is made with double-knitting (DK, light worsted weight, Category 3) yarn. You will need a 4.5mm (US size 7) crochet hook and a 5mm (US size H-8) crochet hook.
This pattern is available in both UK and US crochet terminology. Both files will be available for you on purchase and you can choose whichever you prefer to use.
Important features of my crochet patterns: My crochet patterns include both a detailed 'tutorial-style' set of instructions with colour photos, and a succinct unillustrated pattern using standard crochet conventions - the best of both worlds!
All my patterns come with my full support. If you have any difficulties at all when working the pattern, please e-mail me and I will be happy to provide further explanations.
