Easy-to-follow crochet pattern to make a decorative gourd with a fun knobbly surface.
Made with double knitting (DK, light worsted weight, Category 3) yarn and a 3.5mm (US: E-4) crochet hook, the finished gourd is approximately 10cm (4 inches) long excluding its stalks.
However you can easily make larger or smaller gourds by choosing a different weight yarn and matching hook. The pattern includes detailed notes on choosing an appropriate yarn.
The easy-to-follow pattern is fully-illustrated with colour photos and tips are provided throughout. Plus all my crochet patterns come with my e-mail support if you have any questions.
A tutorial is included on the ‘invisible’ decrease method which is so useful to learn for 3D and amigurumi projects.
The pattern also includes a succinct, 1-page, unillustrated version of the pattern written in traditional crochet notation, for ease of printing.
This is one of my range of pumpkin and gourd crochet patterns with which you can make a stunning autumn centrepiece or cornucopia for your home.
This pattern is available in both UK and US crochet terminology. Both files will be available for you on purchase and you can choose whichever you prefer to use.
