Please download the ZIP-file as well! These instructions contain more than 350 step-by-step photos to show you how to make the wallet “Little MYNTA” by Hansedelli. This pattern is suitable for advanced sewers. The instructions are so detailed that even a wallet-beginner, who has sewn some bags before, will have no trouble making the wallet „Little MYNTA“.
This ebook is not just a simple sewing tutorial, it's more like a book, with lots of tips and info, just like the other Hansedelli ebooks. Don't be afraid of the many pages! There are only so many, as each step is described in great detail so that you can achieve the best possible result. As an advanced sewer, you will probably only need to read the text at certain points and can otherwise sew using only the photos.
These digital sewing instructions come in English and in A4-PDF format. It uses European sewing standards and metric measurements, but inch measurements and US alternatives (e.g. for interfacing) are also given. Open and print the pattern pieces/instructions using Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is available as a free download. Using another PDF reader may lead to pages being shown/printed incorrectly. You will also need a printer to print the PDF-pattern which comes in A4-PDF format as well, but also fits to US-paper size.
WALLET LITTLE MYNTA
Difficulty: 3,5 of 5 – Working time: about 5-8 hours
The wallet Little MYNTA is a zip-around wallet and is designed in a modern, geometrical design, such as “Crossbody bag VARA“. But you can also make the exterior without contrasting fabric as a „one-piece exterior“.
The wallet measures approx. H 10cm (4″) x W 16cm (6 5/16″) and offers enough space for the everyday things. If you are looking for a larger wallet, I recommend to choose the big “MYNTA wallet”.
The wallet Little Mynta is closed with a zipper, so that everything is safely stored. For this wallet I recommend using a non-lock slider rather than an auto-lock slider. Non-lock sliders can also be moved easily from the inside/back (without having to pull the handle). In the course of this project I will also show you how to sew the corners of a zipper a little differently (with integrated zipper tabs).
On the back of the wallet, there is a zipper pocket where you can store coins, notes or other small items.
Wallet Little Mynta is comfortable to carry in your hand due the stable interfacing. The stabilizer is inserted at the very end, therefore turning your wallet right side out is very easy.
Inside, there are 9 card slots (of which 2 can be doubled), 1 banknote compartment (fits unfolded banknotes up to a width of 15,5cm (6 1/8“) – US dollars just fit in, but they may not lie completely flat), and a large coin compartment that can be opened wide. You can also replace the coin compartment with a divider with two additional card slots if necessary and stow the coins on the outside in the zipper pocket.
Between the compartments, there is space for receipts or other notes. The accordion gussets prevent anything from falling out to the side. I also show you a nice final assembly possibility without having to twist the accordion gussets or compartments or pull them out sideways.
Important note: As lining you should use a thin cotton fabric (max. 135g/qm – e.g. poplin, cotton satin, thin patchwork fabric)! Otherwise the wallet will be too thick.
Little Mynta is also great as a small purse for various things. Just leave out all compartments as well as the accordion gussets and you have a pretty, quickly sewn purse. In the pattern testing, great possibilities for use have been created. For example, the “empty Little Mynta” fits perfectly as a pouch for the external hard drive. But it also nice as a pouch for a shopping bag or as a small travel folder for passports.

Hansedelli
Even as a child I always wanted to look behind things and know how they work. I never wanted to become a teacher or a veterinarian like the other children, but always an inventor. So with the foundation of my label Hansedelli in April 2014 I fulfilled a childhood dream, because as a designer you are somehow an inventor :-)
As Hansedelli I design patterns for bags, purses and co. and create sewing instructions. I attach a lot of importance to detailed instructions and good photos, so that even beginners can follow the instructions. Visit me on Facebook www.facebook.com/hansedelli or on my website www.hansedelli.de
