Inspired by the ceinture flechee, a traditional sash worn by the French Canadian voyageurs in the 19th century, the Voyageur scarf features diagonal lines of lace broken up by horizontal garter stitch ridges.
Skills Required: Yarnovers, decreases (k2tog, ssk), slip first st on every row, working simple lace pattern from chart or written instructions.
Gauge: Chart measures 10” wide and 32 rows (2 repeats) = 4”, blocked and relaxed
