1/2 yard cotton fabric interfacing sewing machine thread scissors 22'' zipper
Looking for a case to hold you jewelry and make-up? Do you remember the train cases our mother's and grandmothers used to carry when they traveled? This modern version of the train case has the classic shape of the original but is more conveinent for the way we travel today.
The all fabric case holds it's shape with layers of fusible interfacing, interior pockets, and interior binding. But it can also be folded to fit inside your luggage or bag for travel. The size is 7'' tall and 6'' x 9'' wide and the case has 4 interior pockets. Materials needed are quilting cotton, fusible interfacing (I use pellon 931TD), 20+ zipper, cotton batting, and a heavy duty needle.
I have 3 train cases that I am currently using. One is in my bathroom holding my make-up and beauty supplies. One is on my dresser organizing my jewelry, and one is in my sewing room holding my "on the go" sewing supplies! Although it was designed to hold make-up and jewelry, one of the best feautures in that it can used to organize so many different things. It also makes a fantastic gift since it is so versatile and useful!
You are able to sell finished train cases on a small handmade scale online and at craft shows. No commercial reproduction is permitted. Please give credit to Gingercake for the sewing pattern. No sharing is allowed with this pattern- please refer your family and friends to my shop to purchase their own.
