Tiered dress Bonita as PDF sewing pattern.

BONITA is your perfect and airy companion for hot days and warm nights. And the best part - the dress is a good project for advanced beginners who now want to venture into woven fabrics and dresses.

BONITA is an airy tiered dress with slightly dropped shoulders and a sleeve ruffle. The tiers are each gathered and cut in a slight A-shape. As a result, BONITA falls beautifully light and airy.

The first tier starts just above the chest. If that's too much for you, you can also skip the first tier and start directly with the second tier at the waist. The pattern pieces for the front and back are designed for both variations. In the version without the first tier, two horizontal bust darts still run in the front.

The slightly rounded neckline is finished with a facing. This processing method is neat and super feasible even for beginners.

You can also sew BONITA as a blouse. To do this, simply extend the first tier by 20-30cm (7.8" - 11.8") (depending on the desired length and height).

BONITA is cut a little longer than knee-length, because shortening afterwards works easier than "lengthening" :). I myself usually shorten the bottom tier by 5-7cm (2.0" - 2.8") at the end. To bring BONITA to waist you can also sew a tie belt from your fabric.

👗 FABRIC SELECTION: BONITA is designed for woven fabrics. Fabrics with a light and flowing drape, such as viscose, are best suited. The more flowing and light your fabric is, the nicer and softer BONITA will fall. With a stiffer fabric, the dress may look larger and may unintentionally bulge a bit.

😎 WHAT YOU WILL GET: All my sewing patterns include detailed instructions, helpful sewing tips, and colour photos showing you each step. You can also find a lot of youtube tutorials for the most pattern on my YouTube Channel (La Bavarese). The YouTube videos are in German.

You will get the pattern as a PDF file on A4 and US Letter paper. You will also get A0 files to print the pattern at your copyshop. Seam allowance is already included.

All files are divided into layers. You have the possibility to display only your desired sizes. This makes the lines less confusing and if you are between two sizes, you can print them all at once.

All patterns are designed by me. The construction of the patterns as well as the grading is done by my professional and experienced pattern director.
