THE SHOPPER TOTE BAG
This pattern is for a medium sized tote bag, designed to help you out at the library, farmer's market, or errand running. A perfect way to carry all your stuff in a stylish way!
FINISHED DIMENSIONS
The shopper tote bag stands 12.5" tall and 11" wide, with a 4" wide gusseted bottom. View A has a single self-strap and flap, view B has double straps of cotton webbing.
SUGGESTED FABRIC
Medium to heavyweight denim, corduroy, canvas, duck cloth or upholstery fabric are perfect for the body ("self"), and for the self strap and flap on view A (the second photo). For the straps on view B (the third photo), use medium to heavyweight cotton or nylon webbing, 1" to 2" wide. Self fabric or any medium to lightweight woven fabrics are perfect for the lining, and any woven print (like quilting cotton) is great for the accent on the flap for view A. Avoid fabrics that are sheer, stretchy, knit, drapey, slippery, lightweight, or with pile like velvet or faux fur.
