The Nutcracker Tea Cosy Knitting Pattern was inspired by nutcracker Christmas decorations that you often see hanging on Christmas trees.
The Nutcracker tea cosy is wearing a military uniform of red and gold and on his head he is wearing a crown. His face is true to a Christmas nutcracker with the big teeth, rosy cheeks and curling moustache.
The coat flaps are knitted and then grafted on to the main cosy so that you are holding two knitting needles together in the left hand as you knit across. There are helpful photos throughout the knitting pattern to help and guide you and there is also a helpful Facebook group that you can join if you need further assistance.
The head and crown is worked as one piece using different colour yarns for the face and crown.
It's a delightful tea cosy and really unusual. For people who love Christmas Nutcrackers it's going to be a Christmas must have that will enchant and bring joy for many years to come.
The pattern is knitted on two pins and is easy to follow and is worked in mainly stocking stitch.
The tea cosy fits a medium sized teapot that covers a teapot that holds 6 to 8 cups or 2 pints.
The 6 page knitting pattern will be available for digital download as soon as you have completed purchase, so you could start knitting him very soon!
This product is the knitting pattern only; to knit your own Christmas Nutcracker tea cosy.

I design and knit unique tea cosies. I really love designing exciting and unusual tea cosies, its great fun and people don’t mind having an over the top tea cosy. Plus they are a great talking point at tea time and make for brilliant knitting projects.
I have quite a following with regular customers who regularly buy my latest designs from my website TeaCosyFolk.co.uk
I have had a couple of patterns printed in the Simply Knitting Magazine, which is very exciting.
