Inspired by maritime sea markers that bob about in the waves; TeaCosyFolk designed the Sea Buoy Tea Cosy knitting pattern.
The main mart of the tea cosy is the buoy itself, which is knitted in double thickness yarn for added insulation.
It's a simply buoy with 'D' like structures on the four sides. I want to make it look as if it were in the sea, bobbing about. So at the bottom of the cosy there is the hint of sea waves.
On top of the buoy is a seagull. I suppose a buoy makes the perfect lookout and a great place to rest your wings for a while.
I do love a nautical tea cosy that reminds me of the sea and the coast.
The Sea Buoy tea cosy fits a medium sized teapot that covers a Teapot that holds 6 to 8 cups or 2 pints.
The pattern will be available for digital download as soon as you have completed purchase, so you could start knitting very soon! There is a Youtube Help video for the trickier bits. https://youtu.be/8-TgRCGfEgk
This product is the knitting pattern only to make your own Sea Buoy.

I design and knit unique tea cosies. I really love designing exciting and unusual tea cosies, its great fun and people don’t mind having an over the top tea cosy. Plus they are a great talking point at tea time and make for brilliant knitting projects.
I have quite a following with regular customers who regularly buy my latest designs from my website TeaCosyFolk.co.uk
I have had a couple of patterns printed in the Simply Knitting Magazine, which is very exciting.
