The Svea top is a pattern kit that invites you to vary. The all seasons package contains both the pattern for the Svea top and the add-on for the short sleeves and neckband for two neckline versions.
The original pattern contains two long sleeve versions as well as a turtleneck and a Peter Pan collar, which you can sew with or without ruffles.
The add-on for the Svea Top, which is also included in this package, expands the kit with two short sleeve versions and a two neckband patterns fort two neckline versions. Now you can create and sew a Svea Top for every season.
As a long-sleeved top with a turtleneck, Svea is a great basic. Swap the single sleeve for the balloon sleeve with the wide cuff, and it gives the top a special elegance.
If you like your look a little more playful, you can sew a version with a Peter Pan collar instead of the turtleneck. Your Svea will look especially pretty if you choose a woven fabric like a cotton poplin for the collar.
The mix of materials emphasises the look of a blouse. Nevertheless, Top Svea retains the cosiness of a jersey top. The Peter Pan collar can be beautifully decorated with ruffles.
Of course, you can also combine the collar with the simple sleeve.
From size 42, the front piece contains bust darts.
The pattern pieces of the add-on can be combined with the original pattern of the Svea Top. This means, for example, that in addition to the long-sleeved versions, you can sew simple short sleeves to the body of the top and combine them with the ruffled collar, the Peter Pan collar with the puffed sleeves, or the neckband with the long balloon sleeve from the main pattern.
Just to name a few ideas. Let your creativity run free.
I wish you lots of fun sewing and combining.

Studio GingerCollage
Hello, how nice that you are here.
I am Sabina, the creative and technical head of Studio GingerCollage – a ladies' tailor, fashion designer, pattern designer and mum of 3 adorable ginger-haired children.
I lived my passion for pattern technique and fashion design at various couture labels in Vienna, Hamburg and Zurich and was able to accompany a very successful Swiss lifestyle brand in its first steps.
As a mum of three, I was looking for a way to combine my family life and my passion for design. The urge to create, try out and learn something new is always with me, even in a sometimes crazy daily life.
So the idea of creating sewing patterns with instructions was obvious to me. I always find it unbelievable what comes out of it, with which view and with which creativity others look at it.
I am driven by my enthusiasm and appreciation for sewing and for consciously making my own favourite pieces. I share this passion with many people and find it incredibly beautiful and exciting.
With my patterns, I want to promote the joy of self-sewn clothing and thus, the sustainable use of fabrics and fashion.
The Studio GingerCollage instructions for the sewing patterns are structured and detailed. The descriptions of the individual steps are supported by photographed illustrations so that they are also suitable and enjoyable for less experienced sewers. The e-book instructions are available in English and German.
I hope you enjoy sewing and your own creative implementation of my patterns, and of course wearing your new favourite pieces.
All the best, Sabina
