For me, the sun pillow is a project that was born out of a spontaneous idea. While sewing a bunting with yellow pennants, I suddenly thought: "These triangles would make a beautiful sun!" And so the Sun Pillow was born, which will be a bright eye-catcher not only in our home, but perhaps in yours as well.
What I love about this pillow is its versatility. It has two different sides, so you can easily turn it around to suit your mood or the season. Sometimes it shines with its bright colors, sometimes it blends harmoniously into a cozy winter atmosphere.
The sewing itself is surprisingly simple: you sew a few triangles into a circle and suddenly you have a pillow that looks like so much more. We have the sun pillow in my daughter's room, where it serves not only as a decoration, but also as a seat cushion. It reminds me of my childhood when yellow was my favorite color because the sun is yellow.
I think the sun pillow is a wonderful project for anyone who has just started sewing. It might not be your very first project, but even if you make a few mistakes, the cushion will cover everything up so nicely in the end that it just looks great. Perfect for bringing a little sunshine into any home!
And before I forget, for the kids, you can add a cute face to the sun to turn it into a cuddly pillow that shines back at you.
