“Variety’s the very spice of life, that gives it all its flavour.” - William Cowper
This is a terrific design for the sparkle of Wolle’s Color Changing or the new DK weight Silk Blend! Give it a try and shimmer in the new year…
This is a fun cowl perfect for gifting. The Spice of Life is worked in the round from the bottom up. It has ruche, textured, lace sts, and a bit of beading. You may make it any size you like or use the guidelines in the pattern. It is a great pattern for any weight yarn, the details for fingering, DK, and worsted are provided. Solid, tonal, variegated, gradient, sparkle…you are good to go. You could even combine different yarns and colours for a truly piquant cowl!
gauge/tension: Gauge is not important to this pattern, however you may want to make a small swatch, if you desire a specific sized cowl.
