Make it without the Appliques and in straight black yarn and you have the classic Witches Hat.

Hat requires Medium Worsted Weight Yarn and a 4 mm Crochet Hook. It is pretty straight forward using Single Crochet for the hat and SC, HDC, DC, TRC for the Applique Stars and Half Moon's. A beginner with basic knowledge will find this easy to make.
