These scrappy socks are the perfect project to use up leftover scraps that are too pretty to throw away. You can even knit these socks in a solid color to make the different designs more visible. The heel is a classic heel with a heel flap and a gusset and the toe is a wedge toe. I chose a slip stitch rib for the heel flap to add a bit of texture and to make the heel more durable.
Gauge: 30 stitches and 40 rows to 10 cm
To knit one pair of socks you will need sock yarn (4-ply) in different colors (I chose 10 scraps, each about 10 g).
The pattern is written for shoe sizes 22-47 (EU).
The pattern calls for DPNs in 2.5 mm, but you can also use the Magic loop technique.
The pattern includes step-by-step instructions for the heel and toe and charts for the designs.
