This soft, luxurious cabled snood is a quick and easy knit. Baby alpaca makes it beautifully soft, light and warm. It can be worn around the neck as a cowl or over the head for extra warmth and protection from harsh winter winds. The design features a braided cable that ties in strands of ribbing, like a ponytail. The edges are elegantly rounded, as a natural result of combining ribbing with a garter stitch background. The pattern is rated as intermediate as it uses simple cables. Instructions are fully written out and explained. The design was inspired by the character Agnes in Hannah Kent's novel "Burial Rites", and the harsh Icelandic landscape that she lived in.
