Adelinde is an apron skirt with a-wide flowing underskirt. The apron is attached either directly to the waistband with an underband or fastened with snap fasteners/buttons at the side and tied at the back. It can be used in many different ways (e.g. also with other skirts, with trousers etc... or you leave it completely and have a nice wide swinging skirt). If you are in a hurry, you can also leave out the petticoat and attach the apron by means of buttons to a purchased/already sewn skirt/dress.
The pattern is available in the following sizes: 86/92, 98/104, 110/116, 122/128, 134/142 and 146/152.
The underskirt is kept very simple. Experienced seamstresses can sew patched or back ruched versions using horizontal/vertical dividers. Adding a hem ruffle is also optional and looks very nice under the skirt. It can be sewn from woven fabric, poplin, soft corduroy etc. It looks really beautiful if the apron is made of corduroy or jeans and embellished with ribbons and embroidery. From poplin or taffeta, the skirt looks romantically girly and is an eye-catcher for any special occasion. The apron literally invites you to decorate and embellish, because it is so widely curved so that whole stories can be told on the skirt.
A quick sewing project which is also suitable for beginners. This ebook includes all pattern pieces and detailed, illustrated sewing instructions. The pattern can be constructe according to a simple system, so that you can whip up a new outfit in a matter of hours!
