Bug:
*Legs: (1) 6” X 26” piece fabric and
(1) 6” X 12” piece quilt batting
*Underbody: (1) 9” X 10”piece fabric
*Body Sides: (1) 6” X 8” piece fabric
*Center Body: (1) 2” X 5” piece fabric
*Head: (1) 4” X 8” piece fabric
*Tail: (1) 2” X 6” piece fabric
*Antennas (1) 4” X 6” piece fabric
Optional: (1) 1” X 5” piece heavy weight interfacing
* (2) 5/8 inch buttons for eyes
*Felt scraps for eyes
*Sewing thread to match fabric
*Embroidery thread (I used DMC #5 Coton Perle) *Fiberfill
*Scissors
*Sewing needles and pins

Leaf:
*Leaf Front: (10-12) strips cotton 1½” -3” wide
and 3”-9” long for strip piecing

*Optional: (1) 11” x 13” piece quilt batting
Colorful and fun, scrap bag bugs & leaves make great toys or playful decorations. The leaf can also easily double as a tabletop centerpiece. This pattern is a great way to put those wonderful quilt scraps to use!
