When I started to design this pattern, it would meant to be a "normal" elk. Then christmas time arrived and I was inspired to make a red nose - so it changed his name and became Rudolph - The Red Nosed Elk.
It may be used as christmas decoration and amigurumi but it is also big enough to be filled with different toy elements as oven back for crackling, rattles and even music boxes.
There is also a little reindeer in my shop and actually you may get both crochet patterns in a bundle - have fun while crocheting :)
This crochet pattern is appropriated for beginners in crocheting who still know the basics of crocheting (single crochet, continuous rounds, chains, slip stitches, half double crochet).
The finished reindeer will be about 35 cm in the lenght while lying - it depends a little on the used material and on the individual tightness while crocheting.
