- 189 (228, 246) yd/172 (208, 225) m sock weight, plied yarn (Sample shown in Malabrigo Sock (440yd/402m per 100g; 100% Superwash Merino))
- 61yd/56m yarn for a 6x6in/15x15cm swatch in St.St.
- Set 2.5mm/UK--/US1½ & 2.75mm/UK12/US2 DPNs/Circular or size needed to obtain gauge

Travelling stitches march in perfect formation to the crown, taking just one sharp turn before coming together in a tight spiral. Their strong lines against reverse stocking stitch make the perfect canvas to show off a variegated sock yarn.
Pattern is written for three sizes, with charted as well as written instructions and tutorials for the alternate cable cast-on and cabling without a needle.
