These pretty fingerless mitts use an unusual zigzag rib combined with a single cable on the top of the hand. The palm is decorated with 2 sets of zigzag stitches with a stockinette stitch background.
They use less than half a 100 gm skein, so treat yourself (or someone special) to something beautiful and practical.
Here’s a quote from one of the test-knitters: “Really cute mitts and I love the new stitch I learned, the zig-zag ribbing. Haven’t had as much fun doing a process for years! It is downright FUN! Not to mention amazing - in looks AND in stretchiness.”
DIFFICULTY Easy-to-Intermediate SIZES S/M and M/L (choose larger size for a looser fit and/or larger hands; top photo shows size S/M on an average size hand) MEASUREMENTS Approx 5.5 (6.5) in/14 (16.5) cm, unstretched and 8 (9) in/20 (22.5) cm stretched, around palm of hand; 8 in/20 cm from top edge to hem. The rib pattern is quite stretchy, so the mitts will fit most hands.
Pattern has been test knit. Thanks to all my lovely testers! (They thought the zigzag stitch was great fun!)
