Your child might want to eat and sleep in this bright sweater. The seams are knit-in using colourful garter stitch bands and the pocket linings flash the same colour as the seams for lots of visual impact.
The joining bands are a kind of hybrid pick up and knit combined with three-needle bind-off. There are no hand sewn seams in this project. It’s all knitting, all the time!
Knit them for all the kids, big and small; smaller sizes are available in the Rain City Baby kimono-style pattern.
Skills required: increases/decreases, picking up stitches, three-needle bind-off, knowledge of sweater construction, sewing on buttons, NO seams!
Gauge: 22 sts and 32 rows = 4" / 10 cm in stockinette stitch using larger needles
