There's a YouTube video for this pattern part 1 and part 2. The video is currently available in german language only.
The ebook includes the pattern Unisex pyjama TIDUR (for men and women) by Nähfrosch, detailed sewing instructions with many photos and adjustment options, as well as practical tips for sewing.
I've always wanted one of those!
Does this thought also cross your mind when you see these classic pajamas? Stylish with lapel collar, piping on the top and on the pants, patch pockets and turned-up hems - cozy in cotton flannel or elegant in silk satin? You don't have to dream about it anymore - because now you can easily sew this dream yourself.
The TIDUR pattern is actually a classic pajama pattern that will definitely win you over - no matter the length. It looks great and is also super comfortable. And the best thing is: TIDUR is available for the whole family! That means mornings in your feel-good pajamas can now become beloved family Sundays. Are you in?
TIDUR truly lives up to its name. It's Indonesian and translates into "sleep". Although the pajama is so cozy that you probably will not want to take it off so quickly in the morning after getting up :)
TIDUR is manageable for everyone. We designed the collar with a lapel look so it's easier to sew and still has a great effect. And apart from that, there are no challenges in the pattern that you couldn't manage even as a beginner. So you can start right away - ideally with the step-by-step instructions. That way nothing will go wrong! Just try it out.
Fabric recommendations:
Of course, the pajamas TIDUR look great with cozy cotton fabrics. Then this favorite piece becomes a cuddly companion that you won't want to take off in the morning. Flannel is of course a classic here - especially plaid. But cretonne or - very noble - satin are also ideal.
Stretchy fabrics like jersey are super cozy, but not really recommended for such pajamas. Especially the collar will not be as drapey made of jersey as it would be made of woven fabric.
Fabric consumption:
For TIDUR you will of course need different amounts of fabric depending on the variant. Here are some basic measurements for orientation (based on a fabric width of 150 cm plus seam allowances and buffers):
Pajama top XS - S = 1.70 m, M - L = 1.80 m, XL - XXXL = 2.00 m
Pajama pants XS - S = 1.30 m, M - L = 2.45 m, XL - XXXL = 2.65 m
Pajama total XS - S = 3.00 m, M - L = 4.25 m, XL - XXXL = 4.65 m
We have calculated the maximum amount you will need when sewing your favorite piece from one fabric. Of course, the amount will be reduced according to the pieces you sew from another fabric.
You can also easily calculate the fabric consumption yourself. Simply measure the width and height of the paper pattern pieces in the desired size. Do not forget the seam allowance of 0.7 - 1 cm all around, as well as to double the measured value in the width (fold). Add hem allowances of 2-3 cm in height. Finally, add a few cm tolerance at the end.
Additional material
Depending on the version you will also need: - Buttons (about 6 pieces) - Fusible web for reinforcement purposes - Elastic for the waistband (about 3-4 cm in width) - If applicable, piping ribbon
