This top down shawl is worked as a semi-circular design.
The body of the shawl is worked from the bottom increasing symmetricaly at every side of the shawl.
The lace border is worked after the body with picking up yarn overs. This method was used for the lace shawls of the Shetland Islands or for the Estonian lace shawls.
The shawl’s size is easily adaptable
