A knitted and crocheted cushion cover with ruffled border and flower appliques is an excellent home accessory. Also it could make a wonderful gift for any occasion.

This is a step-by-step tutorial for cushion which have been hand knitted and crocheted. The pattern includes detailed photos with instructions how to make it -- useful for beginners. This pattern uses only basic stitches, so beginners should have no problem with it. It is written in English using Standard US crochet and knitting terminology (with UK crochet terminology equals if necessary).

Skill level: easy (you only need basic knitting and crochet skills).

Materials you will need: 1) crochet yarn (I used Premium Acrylic DK yarn) beige (approx. 550g, 100g x 300m), dark brown (approx. 180g, 100g x 300m), cream-white (approx. 180g, 100g x 300m). Total weight of cushion cover is 730g. 2) tapestry needles 5 mm, 3) crochet hook (I used hook size H8/5mm), 4) tapestry needle; 5) optional: buttons, beads.

This pattern is for cushion measuring approximately 55-60 cm (about 22-24 inches) square.

The size of the cushion cover will vary depending on the size of cushion, type of yarn, hook and needles size and how tightly you knitting and crochet.
