Parchemin (French name for parchment) is a sock pattern with yarn over and stitches knitted together, a game between purl and knit to give a roll style to the pattern such as for a parchment. 🌿Material: ★ Any 4 ply yarn or fingering / sock yarn 100 g , 1 skein ○ I used Mondim by Retrosaria color 109 ★ Circular needles 2.5 mm small circumference ★ and/or DPN 2.5 mm ( 20 cm) ★ Cable needle 2.5 mm (or small size) ★ 2 stitches markers: M1, M2 in the pattern ★ Tapestry needle ★ Scissors 🌿Gauge: 10 cm x 10 cm = 32 sts x 42 rows in the pattern. 🌿Level: Medium 🌿Note: This pattern is to knit socks with toe-up method = From toe to cuff, with Judy’s magic cast on (Turkish cast on is perfect too) for toe, German short row for heel. The sock is textured on the top of the foot and top of the ankle. Each size has a grid and written instructions. Stitches under the foot and at the back of the ankle are knitted in stockinette in round. Instructions for under the foot and back of the ankle are not in the grid. ● Glossary for the grid is under each grid.
