A lacey shawl that is as practical as it is glamorous. Drape it over your shoulders as the perfect compliment to your evening wear, or wear it casually wrapped around your neck for day-to-day warmth.
Choose two contrasting skeins of your favourite fingering weight yarn. The Oyster Shawl is knit from the top down, forming an elongated crescent shape. Written instructions are provided for the eyelet body section, then choose from charted or written instructions for the circle lace edging.
MEASUREMENTS: Length 198cm/78” Width 52cm/ 20.5”
GAUGE: 20 sts and 36 rows = 10cm/4” blocked eyelet fabric. Gauge is not crucial for this project; however, variations in gauge will affect finished measurements and yardage.

Hello from Australia! You’ll pretty much always find me dreaming about my next favourite shawl - the accessory I most love to design, knit and wear. Otherwise I’ll be wandering about my vegetable garden, nearby bush or perhaps a little escape to the beach.
With a background in painting, I have a passion for colour and interesting design.
I design contemporary knitwear patterns, with a nod to retro and geometric design. Patterns that are straight forward to follow and fun to wear.
