Details: Hej Varmen – we welcome warmth with our cozy outdoor hoodie. Snuggled up, our little ones feel a comfortable warmth. The outdoor hoodie is super practical for pulling on for daycare, the playground, school, or for outdoor play. Thanks to the division at the front and back, the neck opening is large enough to make it easy to slip on. At the same time, Hej Varmen can be sewn with a cozy lining, so there’s nothing to scratch at the neck or throat.
Fabric: The pattern is designed for boiled wool, fleece, thick sweatshirt fabrics, and jacquard. Softshell is also possible. Hej Varmen is intended as an overlayer, so a sweater can easily fit underneath.
Hej Varmen features a slightly dropped shoulder. It can be sewn with a pointed or round hood, with or without lining. You can also sew it completely without ribbing, using only wool braid or fold-over elastic for edging. A windbreaker pocket completes the look, and there are various finishing options for the sleeves and hem.
In the ebook, you’ll find a detailed measurement chart to sew Hej Varmen perfectly for your child. It includes tips and tricks for sewing with boiled wool. If you haven’t yet tried sewing with boiled wool, you can find several blog posts on my blog about caring for and sewing with it. Here’s the first blog post: Boiled Wool Part 1: Types, Properties, Washing, and Lining.
