What’s this: This is the Origami Clutch. It was designed in collaboration with Yarn Crush & Yarn Indulgences for the December 2015 Yarn Crush box.

Why should I make this: An evening out requires the perfect little bag to carry your essentials. With 1 skein of delicious fingering weight merino, less than 50 beads, and a purse frame you’ll be able to make the ideal clutch for yourself or to give as a cherished gift.

When will this get the most use: On date nights and other special events.

Who is it for: Indulge yourself, or create a beautiful item for a dear friend.

Where do I start: This pattern is rated Intermediate - You’ll need to be comfortable with crochet, crochet shaping, and involved assembly. You will need 100g of Fingering weight yarn (used here, Indulgent Fingering by Yarn Indulgences) & a 2.25 mm hook. Other notions: an 8’’ (20 cm) purse frame, 48x 6mm beads (used here, Swarovski), a yarn needle, and some stitch markers.
